Presto Pesto Pasta

1 pound whole wheat spaghetti or linguine, cooked as directed on package

6 T fresh basil pesto

1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved

½ c pre-washed, torn basil leaves

4 T pine nuts

Sea salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

After draining pasta, pour ½ c of the pasta water back into the pot and turn heat to medium-high.  Add pesto, cherry tomatoes, and basil leaves.  Stir until combined.  Adjust seasoning, if necessary.  Turn heat off.  Add cooked pasta and stir until well coated.  Sprinkle with pine nuts.
