Refrigerator Pickles

From Gina Johnson (recipe from her Grandma Laufenberg)

1 large cucumber, unpeeled and sliced

3 small or 1 large white onion, sliced thinly

3 t dill or 3 heads fresh

2 ¼ c sugar

1 ½ c water

1 ½ c white vinegar

2 t salt

Heat last 4 ingredients to boiling on stovetop and cover first three ingredients with the boiling mixture in a Tupperware container with a lid.  Store in refrigerator.  Eat when cooled.
